Our diffusers are developed to reduce fluid entry velocity, minimise turbulence, and protect internal tank structures during product transfer operations.
Our inlet diffusers integrate impingement plates, baffles, lateral openings or graduated slots, depending on the application. This internal piping assembly slows the incoming flow to below 1 metre (3 ft) per second, aligning with API RP 2003 recommendations for initial tank fill.
For gas and pigging operations, where high-velocity product slugs and gas slugs are common, we offer extended-length Gas Inlet Diffusers with reinforced flow control slots and perforated distribution plating to accommodate these unique conditions.
