Full Contact Internal Floating Roofs (IFRs)
Prime Tank Systems Full Contact Internal Floating Roofs (IFRs) minimize vapor space to deliver superior emission control, reduce product loss, and increase usable storage capacity. Built in full compliance with API 650 Appendix H, they ensure high performance, safety, and environmental compliance across various applications.
Full Contact Internal Floating Roofs (IFRs) by Prime Tank Systems
Prime Tank Systems designs and manufactures Full Contact Internal Floating Roofs (IFRs) to deliver maximum emission reduction, enhanced tank safety, and long-term reliability. Built in compliance with API 650 Appendix H, our IFRs are custom-engineered for petroleum, chemical, and industrial storage applications.
Types of PTS Full Contact IFRs
Our Full Contact IFR range is available in aluminium and stainless steel, offering high performance across various storage conditions:
Aluminium Full Contact IFR with hexagonal panel design
The PTS-HexaCore is a full contact internal floating roof designed with a unique hexagonal aluminium panel configuration. This modular layout enhances structural integrity while ensuring uniform surface contact across the entire tank diameter. Lightweight yet rigid, HexaCore IFRs offer excellent buoyancy and are ideal for tanks where long-term reliability, easy installation, and minimal emissions are critical. Recommended for facilities prioritizing operational safety, vapour tightness, and quick installation.
Available in aluminium or stainless steel, featuring robust box panel construction
The PTS-BoxCore model incorporates heavy-duty rectangular box panels designed for superior mechanical strength and structural support. Suitable for both aluminium and stainless steel configurations, this design delivers maximum resistance to mechanical loads and tank shell irregularities. BoxCore IFRs are preferred in large-diameter tanks and demanding storage conditions where load-bearing performance and material robustness are essential.
Aluminium or stainless steel pan-type panels for cost-effective solutions
The PTS-PanCore offers a simplified panel design using shallow pan-type construction, available in both aluminium and stainless steel. While lighter and more economical, it still ensures full liquid surface coverage and reliable emission control. PanCore IFRs are especially suitable for small to mid-size tanks or budget-conscious projects that still require compliance with API 650 Appendix H and basic operational efficiency.
Advantages of PTS Full Contact IFRs
- Maximized tank capacity for cost efficiency
- Positive flotation for reliable operations
- Quick installation minimizing downtime
- Excellent shell irregularity tolerance preventing operational issues
- Emission control efficiency up to 99%
Engineering Excellence
The PTS Full Contact IFR consists of modular, liquid-tight panels attached to a structural grid, ensuring continuous surface contact with the stored liquid. This design eliminates vapour space, significantly reducing emissions and improving operational safety.
